Powerline is a section created by DerHausaufgabe and was added on April 23rd, 2020.
Information[]
This orange section starts with a moving platform and two killparts that are thin as lasers drifting in opposing directions, one at the top and one at the bottom. The player must dodge the moving killparts as they pass by them while staying on the moving platform to proceed. This leads to another platform, a conveyor with a laser killpart on the middle and then three more conveyors placed above each other, meaning the player must do headhitter jumps on these to get pass. This leads to another platform, a longer conveyor with two laser killparts ahead, yet another platform and then one last conveyor on the left with a laser killpart ahead that leads to three final platforms attached to the wall, ending the section.
Tips[]
- Move in the opposite direction of the three conveyors, this will make timing the headhitter jumps easier.
- When jumping over the moving laser at the beginning, move to the other side of the moving platform to make more space as it comes back at you.
- On the last three platforms, you can skip the first one by jumping straight onto the second one to save time.
- You can use the platform between the last two conveyors if you need time to recover. However, you can also skip this platform to finish the section quicker.
- Be careful when transitioning onto this stage, as you could hit the laser at the start while doing jumps near the end of the previous stage.
Trivia[]
- This used to be the 88th section in The Tower of Hell.
- This section, along with Close Shave, was prone to desync in The Tower of Hell.
- In the past, if Climb, Life on the Edge, Purple Trees or Somethin were below this section, they would block the moving platform meaning the section couldn't be completed.
- This has now been fixed, since the orange sliding platform has been moved up by a few studs.
- Back then as well, you could jump from the stairs to the first conveyor, skipping the moving platform and the two lasers.
- This is no longer possible as the lobby had been updated for the second time to the current one that no longer features the staircase which was key to many other shortcuts.
- This is the only section to ever have conveyor headhitters.
- The original submission of this section was different from the one seen in-game:
- There were more conveyors, and some of them were also differently placed.
- The ending used to be in a different place.
