Lilypads is a section created by Ket_Overkill and was added on August 31st, 2018, removed on August 4th, 2019 and brought back to the game on April 23rd, 2020.
Information[]
This fern green section contains twelve lily pad shaped platforms that rotated and tilted differently, hence the section's name "Lilypads". Three of which appearing bigger and spin relatively fast, while the rest are smaller and don't make any movements.
The sections starts with three normal lily pads, where it then splits into two routes on the third one. The left route makes the player do a far jump onto another lily pad, followed by one of the larger spinning lily pads that the player has to ride, then topping it off with four more normal lily pads leading to the end platform. The right route makes the player ride another one of the larger spinning lily pads, leading you to a normal one where the player has to ride one more spinning lily pad which will fling them to the end platform.
Former Removal[]
This section was previously removed on August 4th, 2019. Ket_Overkill, the creator of this section, was demoted from the builder role and wanted to remove this section, along with Jello Yellow, Unstable, And Owch Edgy.
Many months later, on April 23rd, 2020, Lilypads was added back to the game, along with Owch Edgy when Ket_Overkill rejoined the staff team.
Tips[]
- Focus on the spinning lilypads when you're about to jump on them to avoid falling through their gaps. You can also apply this with the spinning platforms of Turn Around.
- If you're struggling with the spinning lily pads, you may wish to use the hourglass gear to stop the lily pads from moving.
- Whenever you're taking the right route, make sure to look ahead on the next section above before riding the last spinning lily pad, as it may have obstacles that you will hit by accident, making you get stuck or fall off.
- Be careful whenever you decide to take the left route, since the far jump that you have to do to take it is rather challenging and risky. You can make this jump easier with the use of a gravity or speed coil.
Trivia[]
- This used to be the 140th section in The Tower of Hell.
- Before that, it was the 56th section, but was replaced by Turn Around.
- This section and Owch Edgy were the first removed sections to return to the game.
- If you get a trowel and put a brick inside one of the spinning lily pads, you can stop the lily pad from moving. The only other section where this is possible is Turn Around.
- Similarly to Parkourmaster, Dangerzone and Deathspeed, the name of this section is grammatically incorrect. There should be a space in-between "Lily" and "Pads" to make the name "Lily Pads".
- This section is the same color as Aura.
- This was the first section by Ket_Overkill to get added to the game.
- Artwork of this section by Ket_Overkill used to be the game's thumbnail, along with Unstable.
- This section and Owch Edgy are the only sections in-game created by Ket_Overkill.
- The section's model can be found in the Roblox Library.[1]
- This is the only vanilla section in the game to use unions (objects fused together as a group).
- Wall Wedges was also created using unions, however, this was changed in May 2021 to make sure the platforms appear properly.
- If the Section was coloured yellow, it will be named as Pac Mans.
